Airbrush body and face painting 2011

Every October I get slammed with body and face painting requests and it makes me wish Halloween & Dia De Los Muertos was EVERY MONTH! Here's a few pics....(click to enlarge)

Painted Lucky dog like a TIGER!

Pinstriped another guitar recently!

Mike Butler is lucky I gave him his guitar back after I pinstriped it for him! Really cool guitar with tremolo and one of my better pinstriping layouts. Had fun painting and playing it while it was here....when you getting your guitar/car/toolbox striped??

Exterior re-design for South Coast Surf Shop San Diego

Here's a sequence of the process. For exterior designs I generally take a photo of the current state of the building then superimpose changes/colors/metalwork etc. until the client is completely satisfied. From there I send pre-sized vector art to metal/signage/awning/banner/plastic fabricators. (See the vendor logos along the top of the building.) Everything must be sized perfectly to reach the desired effect. South Coast is extremely pleased and business is booming. We are currently working on the re-design of their women's shop. Stay tuned! Let's get your business looking fresh again! timlowmandesign@gmail.com

Just finished pinstriping Mike Butler's custom Telecaster

Mike Butler is one of tastiest guitar players on the planet! He plays guitar for Billy Bob Thornton's band  The Boxmasters, San Diego songstress Nena Anderson and a nasty baritone guitar for Stephen Rey & The Slicks. He recently engineered and mixed the debut record for my solo project Low Volts and I personally think it's his finest work to date! (heh heh). He's got a few more guitars for me to pinstripe and I can't wait to get my hands on 'em.

I kept it real subtle on the top- Kool Krimson on red. In certain light it looks black, some lights it's bright red and sometimes it's invisible. Click pics to zzzzoooommmm.
I got a little wilder on the back- Kool Krimson and white on red.

What can I pinstripe for you???

Airbrushing / Body-painting for Espolon Tequila launch party in North Park

Espolon Tequila hired me again to airbrush the 'Dia de los Muertos' vibe on the entire staff, models and patrons of True North. I'm still high from huffing paint fumes for 5 hours straight. Here's a few pics...click the pics to zoom-zoom-zoom and a boom boom....

Body painting for Maxim Magazine 'Hometown Hotties'

So I got a call from Maxim magazine in New York about doing some body painting and airbrush tattooing on some girls for the 'Hometown Hotties' event. It took place on the rooftop of the Hard Rock Hotel and the second the doors opened I had a line of girls wanting to get airbrushed. Unfortunately, I was painting so much I didn't get to capture too many photos...it was pretty dang nuts.

These airbrush 'tattoos' last for a few days. At first I thought it might be kinda cheezy but after doing about 20 of them in an hour I could see people really dug 'em.
